Job Description
As a Backend Developer at smartQare, you will play a crucial role in the development and extension of our backend (cloud) systems. Your work will be essential in extending our platform capabilities, handling the growing datasets and developing 3rd party interoperability together with our partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and extend backend systems to support new and existing functionalities. Investigate new technologies and tools to use.
- Ensure the backend framework can handle large datasets and meet increasing requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D and clinical developers to understand and incorporate their needs.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration tests and help with the CI/CD pipeline.

Java, Kafka, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, AWS, GitLab
Qualifications
- Proven experience (4+ years) as a Backend Developer with strong proficiency in Java.
- Experience with databases and messaging systems like Kafka
- Proficiency with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and build tools such as Gradle.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks from start to finish.
- Experience with cybersecurity and medical device development is a pre.
- Passion for improving healthcare through technology.
